I’ve always been attracted by fashion. As a child I was interested in new trends, history, fabrics and materials. Yes because we often tend to forget the importance of the fabric in fashion. On the contrary, you have to give it a lot of attention because it’s the fabric that makes the dress and not vice versa.
Cotton has always been the most used material for any type of clothing. I remember the marinière that I used to wear as a child, the crisp white shirts of the 80s and a pair of elegant trousers in aubergine color that I wore for special occasions. It recalls good feelings, in my heart and on my skin.
Now cotton is very present in my key fashion pieces, because a good quality cotton gives clothes a better look. Sono sempre stata attratta dalla moda, fin da bambina, mi interessavo ai nuovi trend, alla storia, alle lavorazioni, ai tessuti e ai materiali. Sì perché spesso, in un capo moda, si tende a dimenticare l’importanza del tessuto. Invece bisogna dargli molta attenzione perché è il tessuto che fa l’abito e non viceversa.
Il cotone è da sempre il materiale più usato per ogni tipo di abbigliamento.
Mi ricordano le marinière che indossavo da piccola, le camicie bianche inamidate degli anni’80 e un paio di pantaloni eleganti color melanzana che indossavo per le occasioni speciali. Mi evoca belle sensazioni, nel cuore e sulla pelle.
